Brianna Makaric is a senior at Michigan State and grant recipient from the 10,000 Entrepreneurs program (or 10KE), an initiative of Alumni Ventures Group aimed at helping young adults explore entrepreneurial careers. Brianna struggled to find a healthy snack that fit her dietary needs, so she decided to create one herself, and BRITE Bites was born. BRITE Bites are made with high-quality superfoods and probiotics to help support immune and digestive systems. We sat down with Brianna to find out how she’s developing her brand to inspire others to prioritize living a healthy lifestyle, and why the 10KE program has been a great asset for her business.
The 10KE program provides undergraduate college students with stipends for summer work at a fast-growing company or their own startup. In 2020, 10KE plans to award a minimum of 25 scholarships, $2,500 apiece for individuals and $5,000 apiece for teams.
- Apply for the 10KE Internship Grant by March 23, 2020 to be considered in the second round of applicants.
