Towerview Fund 2 is wrapping up its capital raising period and is already beginning to deploy capital to build its portfolio. Join Greg and Evan to hear about some of the investments already made by Fund 2 and how they will continue to build a fully diversified venture portfolio.

The live, 30-minute discussion about Alumni Venture Group’s Duke-focused venture capital fund will be led by Towerview Ventures Managing Partner Greg Baker (Fuqua, ‘91) and Senior Principal Evan Burnstein (Trinity, ‘00).

During the session, the Towerview team will discuss:

  • The goal and structure of the fund

Greg Baker, Managing Partner - Towerview Ventures

Greg is a highly accomplished executive with experience in corporate leadership, business development, startups, M&A, strategic planning, and more. He has spent much of his career growing businesses in the electrical products, packaging, and chemical industries. Throughout, he has been buying, selling, and combining companies to fit strategic goals. Previously, Greg served as President and CEO of 2D2C, developing safer energy-saving products. Greg was also VP Corporate Development and Acting Division President for a high-tech subsidiary at Woodhead Industries and Director Corporate Development for Tenneco. Greg has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin (’86) and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.

Evan Burnstein, Senior Principal - Towerview Ventures

Evan joins us from Counterview Capital, an early stage venture capital firm where he has been a partner since 2016. He has over a decade of experience investing in and counseling technology companies. Previously, Evan was the founder and CEO of Wilbey, an innovative event discovery and curation platform. He led Wilbey in product, operations, and legal. Prior to Wilbey, he represented and advised corporate clients as an intellectual property and technology attorney at Skadden Arps. Evan has a BA from Duke University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
