Bio: Greg is a highly accomplished executive with experience in corporate leadership, business development, startups, M&A, strategic planning, and more. He has spent much of his career growing business in the electrical products, packaging, and chemical industries. Throughout, he has been buying, selling, and combining companies to fit strategic goals. Previously, Greg served as President and CEO of 2D2C, developing safer energy-saving products. Greg was also VP Corporate Development and Acting Division President for a high-tech subsidiary at Woodhead Industries and Director Corporate Development for Tenneco. Greg has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin (’86) and an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University.

Bio: Ali is a builder and leader of high-performance finance and operations for early and growth-stage companies spanning cleantech, digital music, software, fintech, marketing, and more. As a serial startup CFO, he has executed financial modeling, transactions, and post-merger integrations. In 1997, Ali joined Microsoft, leading developer evangelism and competitive engagement for East Coast enterprise sales and consulting teams. He later oversaw product management and the launch of Microsoft’s SharePoint business, as well as strategic planning and growth for Microsoft’s $10B Office business. He also was responsible for M&A due diligence and post-merger management for Microsoft’s venture acquisitions. Ali subsequently joined the Global Technology Investment Banking group at Lehman Brothers, providing M&A and corporate finance advisory. He later joined the next-generation biofuels company Primafuel, a World Economic Forum Technology Pioneer, where he led fundraising and infrastructure projects. In 2011, he joined SecondMarket as Senior Vice President, facilitating $2B+ in secondary transactions for the world’s best venture-backed private companies. He then joined Movable Ink as CFO, producing record growth and profitability for the marketing personalization company. He also served as CFO of Olapic, a visual marketing leader that he helped sell to Monotype in 2016. Ali earned his BSE in Electrical Engineering from Duke and is now a regional board member for Duke New York. His MBA is from the Wharton School of Business, with a concentration on finance and entrepreneurship.

Bio: Evan joins us from Counterview Capital, an early stage venture capital firm where he has been a partner since 2016. He has over a decade of experience investing in and counseling technology companies. Previously, Evan was the founder and CEO of Wilbey, an innovative event discovery and curation platform. He led Wilbey in product, operations, and legal. Prior to Wilbey, he represented and advised corporate clients as an intellectual property and technology attorney at Skadden Arps. Evan has a BA from Duke University and a JD from Harvard Law School.

Bio: Anton has 20+ years of technology experience as a proven venture capital investor, entrepreneur and operating executive in companies ranging in size from start-up to Fortune 10. Most recently, Anton founded and led Vener8 Technologies, a technology commercialization company he started with GE. Previously in his career, Anton led the Software and Internet Infrastructure Group at GE Equity where he directly invested $72 million in 10 companies generating more than $500 million of realized gains. Anton has substantial international experience in Canada, China, Europe and Israel, and has served on the board of directors of more than 20 private and public companies. Anton has a BSc. Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Bio: Stephanie spent more than 15 years in higher education advancement as a fundraiser and alumni relations professional, getting her start at Tufts University. She also worked at Northeastern University, where she led the programming and engagement for 200,000+ alumni worldwide. Earlier in her career, she had her own consulting practice, which focused on fundraising, board development, and communications strategies in the non-profit sector. A strong advocate for mentorship and networking, she brings those passions to investor engagement at AVG. She holds a BA from the University of New Hampshire, where she was a member of the women’s soccer team, and a MA from Emerson College.

Bio: Prior to joining AVG, Jordan worked in consumer and commercial lending with New Hampshire based firms. A Massachusetts native, Jordan graduated with honors from Plymouth State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a focus in business law.

Bio: Keith Angell is CEO of West Shore Advisors, LLC and has been a C-Level executive in 6 successful VC/PE backed, high growth technology companies (2 IPO, 4 Acq). Most recently, as CEO of Velocity Technology, Keith directed the leading global cloud managed services company, specializing in moving complex enterprise workloads to the private, public & hybrid cloud. Prior to Velocity, Keith was President of Global Services at Virtustream (sold to EMC) and spent 9 years as an executive in IBM’s Global Cloud & Technology Services. Over the previous 14 years, Keith held CEO, COO, President, and SVP roles at 4 software/services technology & consulting firms. He started his career in the management development program at Exxon Corp. Keith holds BS Engineering magna cum laude (Duke), MS Engineering (Northeastern) & MBA Finance (LSU) degrees.

Bio: Hosea Chang is the Chief Operating Officer for Hayden Los Angeles and an investor in early stage companies focused primarily on SaaS/B2B companies that help other businesses scale quickly by fully utilizing software-based solutions. Previously, at Shearman & Sterling, Clifford Chance, and most recently at Cooley, Hosea was a capital markets lawyer helping companies across a range of sectors raise institutional capital all over the globe and guiding clients through the IPO process. Hosea also contributes to the business community in Los Angeles as a member of the Forbes Los Angeles Business Council. Hosea holds a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University, a M.A. in International Relations from Yonsei University and a J.D. from American University.

Bio:Carl Chiou has 15 years of experience in investment banking, the past 8 based in Silicon Valley where he has held various capital markets leadership roles with Barclays and William Blair. At William Blair, he is head of Technology Equity Capital Markets, with responsibility for identifying and taking the next generation of Tech leaders public. Carl started his career in the software industry, as an early employee at both MicroStrategy and Appian. He is a graduate of Duke University (BS Chemistry) and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business (MBA).

Bio: Jennifer Hong, CFA, has worked in Swiss private banks in Singapore for 5 years. She provides holistic solutions for ultra-high net worth individuals in APAC, such as multi-asset investment advisory, wealth planning and tailored personal financing. Previously, she worked in Accenture, Nomura and Knight Investment Group, a boutique venture capital in New York. She is a 2013 graduate of Fudan University and a 2014 graduate of Master of Management Studies at Fuqua School of Business.In her spare time, she enjoys scuba diving, traveling and standup comedy.

Bio: Craig is a former entrepreneur with institutional asset management and investment banking research experience. His broad investments background includes roles as a Portfolio Manager, Director of Research, Trader and Credit Analyst. Most recently, Craig was the Chief Financial Officer for start-up venture Ballparks of Branson LLC. Previously he held Senior VP roles at boutique investment banks Loop Capital Markets and Stone & Youngberg. He also was an Executive Director at UBS Global Asset Management and its predecessor firms, including Partner at global asset allocation pioneer Brinson Partners. He has published extensively on investment opportunities within corporate credit. Craig has a BA in Economics with Honors from Duke University and an MBA in Finance from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Bio: Michael Levy is a Director and founding member of KPMG’s Power & Utilities Strategy practice. He closely works with utilities, private equity firms, and energy portfolio companies engaged in the energy transition with expertise in regulatory finance, grid & asset analytics, battery storage, and electric vehicles. Michael has a MBA from Duke University and a BS in Industrial Engineering with highest honors from Georgia Tech. He lives in Atlanta with his wife, two dogs, and enjoys spending weekends on the lake.

Bio: Anand Subramanian combines over 10 years in investment banking at world class organizations with 6+ years playing senior engineering roles in the Silicon valley. He is an MD at Pickwick Capital Partners a boutique investment bank where he advises late stage and lower middle market companies in the Technology, Security and Alternative Energy sectors. Previously he held senior roles at Deutsche Bank, RBC, BNP specializing in Structured Finance in the natural resources and alternative energy space. Anand started his career at Bay Neworks where he led multiple pioneering research & development projects. He is a graduate of the National Institute of Technology, Trichy in India (B Eng.) and Duke University (MBA).

Bio: Graham graduated from Duke University with a BS in Biology and is working towards his MD from Vanderbilt University and his MBA from the Wharton School. Prior to the Alumni Venture Fellow Program, Graham served as an associate with Windham Venture Partners and as a summer consultant with the Boston Consulting Group. He has over 5 years of research experience, with a current focus in cost-effectiveness in surgical healthcare delivery.

Bio: Austin Meacham is a Category Analyst for Walmart eCommerce in Hoboken, NJ. He has worked in business development, operations, and marketing for two venture-backed startups and as a venture capital associate for Valor Ventures in Atlanta, GA. He is a 2019 graduate of Dartmouth College and a 2020 Master of Management Studies graduate of Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.

Bio: Aditya has over 12 years of experience in Enterprise, SaaS focused Technology and Financial Services industries. He currently leads Strategy & Product Management team for Financial Crime & Compliance Management group at Oracle. His experience includes Strategy, Product Management, Development & Consulting roles at various company stages (Startup, Enterprise, and SMB growth). Aditya graduated from The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University, and has MS in Computer Engineering from Univ. of Mass, Dartmouth and BS (Electrical) from India.

Bio: Sahil is a Technical Project Manager with the New Product Introduction Group at Tesla where he leads cross-functional groups in launching new vehicle products in manufacturing. He holds a graduate degree in Engineering Management from Duke University. Prior to Tesla, Sahil has worked with Ford Motor Company in manufacturing operations. Sahil enjoys learning about competitive strategies, startups, and venture capital.

Bio: Dana is a strategic finance associate at Genentech. Previously, she was a management consultant at Accenture where she specialized in operating model design, business development, and human capital strategy. She has also worked with several early stage healthcare startups and is passionate about digital health and biotech. In her spare time, she enjoys playing tennis, juggling, reading biographies, and making chocolate-y food. She earned her MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and BS in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.
