Bio: Mohit has immense knowledge in Telecommunications, Crypto, Clean-Tech and Ed Tech. He is very passionate about sustainability and at the young age of 15 years he presented his idea, Artificial Regeneration of Ozone in the Stratosphere‚ to his Excellency, the then President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam at the 94th National Science Congress. Since then he has contributed extensively to reverse the effects of climate change. He has interned with Purple Arch Ventures under the leadership of David Beazley and he is currently working as a Project Manager in the Networks domain for Ericsson, a firm leading the 5G revolution in North America. Mohit is an honor graduate from The University of Texas at Dallas with a Master of Business Administration majoring in Finance and a Master of Management Science.
Bio: Maria is Chief of Staff at Octane, a point-of-sale financing platform for powersports. Prior to Octane, Maria worked at J.P.Morgan Chase as an investments analyst. She is graduate from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and Georgetown University.
Bio: Patrick has over 10 years of financial risk management and data analytics experience within the financial services and nonprofit industries. Currently, he leads a team that is responsible for designing and implementing the future data environment, defining data governance and oversight, and partnering with technology to operate the data infrastructure at Wells Fargo. Patrick has substantial international experience in Africa and serves on the board of directors of a non-profit. Patrick has an MBA from Duke University, the Fuqua School of Business. Previously, he earned a MS in Information Science and a BS in Business.
Bio: Sharron Chang is a second year MBA candidate at NYU Stern School of Business. Prior to Stern, she was a government bond trader developing and executing trade strategies for Vanguard’s active fixed income mutual funds. Outside of trading, Sharron also evaluated and onboarded various fixed income trading technology and platforms. At Stern, Sharron is involved in the NYU Impact Investment Fund to identify high potential early-stage social enterprises in food and agriculture industry and Stern’s Endless Frontier Labs to help tech startups scale their businesses. Last summer, Sharron interned at PwC as a senior consultant.
Bio: Tendai is passionate about increasing access to capital for entrepreneurs in emerging markets and diversifying assets of African investors. She is currently pursuing a Neuroscience PhD at the University of Cambridge, studying the neural mechanisms of obesity. She is also a Fellow for Villedge Solutions, helping to develop tech-connected villages in Ethiopia in collaboration with government and private partners globally. Tendai graduated from Williams College, where she double majored in chemistry and biology.
Bio: Gia Farooqi has built an expertise in early stage start-ups as both a founder and operator. She has founded & built a mobility platform for emerging markets, secured $1mm in funding via the Hult Prize, and has been listed as a Forbes30under30 honoree in enterprise technology. Currently, she is working as the channel manager at Teampay where she is helping build the partner ecosystem within the spend management category. As an alumni of the Institute of Women’s Leadership at Rutgers University, Gia is passionate about creating opportunity for female founders across the MENA and APAC region.
Bio: Leland has a background in strategy consulting across multiple industries. In his current position as a generalist at L.E.K. Consulting, he conducts growth strategy and due diligence across industries including biotech, energy, healthcare, and transportation. While at Accenture, Leland focused on healthcare IT and assisted federal agencies with implementation of machine learning and robotic process automation solutions. He has a BA in biology and global development studies from the University of Virginia.
Bio: Bobby is currently a first-year MBA candidate at Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University with 5+ years of experience in Financial Services and Tech. Prior to Kellogg, Bobby was in finance at Google focused on product expansion and process improvement. Before Google, he worked on the Internal Consulting team focused on operational improvements at JPMorgan Chase & Co. He graduated from Morehouse College with a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.
Bio: Kori Hale is the CEO and Co-Founder of CultureBanx, a digital news platform redefining business and tech news for minorities through music. Prior to starting CultureBanx, Kori was part of the launch team for digital media millennial news company Cheddar, and she has the distinct privilege of being the first black woman to anchor a daily news show from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Kori’s passion for business news started with her role at UBS Investment Bank in London and continued when she returned to the states to work as an Investment Banker for Goldman Sachs.
Bio: Wesley is passionate about technology and healthcare. He currently works in investment banking, and served in the U.S. Navy for four years before attending college. In his spare time, he is actively involved with community service projects as a volunteer leader for The Mission Continues, a nonprofit that empowers veterans to continue their service, and empowers communities with impact. Wesley graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business with a concentration in Finance.
Bio: Ben is an experienced financial services strategy professional with both Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) and retail financial services expertises. Currently a Strategy Manager at Charles Schwab, he works on delivering high-impact strategies across the Retail business. Prior to Schwab, he spent two years with the Investment Banking Strategy group at BNP Paribas in New York. Graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Engineering degree from the University of Michigan, Ben have lived and worked internationally in four different countries, namely the United States, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.
Bio: Rob Licalzi is currently working in the Senior Relationship Management team at Barclays, focusing on the firm’s top clients across all products within Markets and Investment Banking. Previously, he worked in TMT investment banking at Barclays covering software, payments, and telecom clients. Prior to Barclays, Rob served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer and currently serves on the NYU Military Veterans Alumni Committee. He graduated with an MBA from NYU Stern in 2015 and from Boston College in 2009 with a B.A. in political science and economics.
Bio: Janine enjoys helping entrepreneurs build successful, sustainable companies. She is Atlanta Community Manager at Entre and the 2021 Atlanta City Leader for Founders Live. Prior to discovering her passion for startups, Janine worked as a Physician Recruiter for TeamHealth (D&Y) and Cross Country Healthcare. Janine has a BA in Economics with a concentration in Business Policy from Emory University.
Bio: Mario has a background in supply chain, strategy, and entrepreneurship. In his home-country Venezuela, Mario led operational improvement efforts for a large CPG company and founded an online retailer and a social venture. In the US, Mario gives strategic advice to early stage ventures and portfolio companies of an international conglomerate. Mario holds a Bachelors in Business Sciences, a Master in Marketing, a JD, and is currently pursuing his MBA at UVA’s Darden School of Business.
Bio: Samaria O’Brien is currently a second-year MBA student at The Wharton School where she is majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship. Samaria is also completing an MA focused on International Business with a focus on European affairs. Prior to Wharton, she worked as a Product Manager at Disney and Consultant at Accenture. This past summer, Samaria interned as a Technology Investment Banking Summer Associate with Bank of America Merrill Lynch where she evaluated a potential acquisition of a leading enterprise software company. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with degrees in Political Science, Business-Economics, and Italian.
Bio: Olivia has over eight years of experience in accounting and taxation in the investment management industry. After three years at KPMG, Olivia transitioned to Adams Street Partners, where she is now a Vice President in Finance. Olivia graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in accountancy from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in finance and managing organizations from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Olivia is an Illinois Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
