10KE grant recipient Timi Dayo-Kayode is a Senior at Tufts University and the co-founder and CEO of Worksense. His company provides people ops professionals with scalable, real-time analytics for identifying, mitigating, and preventing biases in major decisions involving employees. Timi received a grant from the 10,000 Entrepreneurs program (or 10KE), a nonprofit founded by Alumni Ventures Group to help young adults explore entrepreneurial careers. This grant allowed him to commitment more time to work on his start-up. We caught up with Timi to talk about his love of coding, where our own biases come from, how he’s giving back to his home country of Nigeria, and more.
The 10KE program provides undergraduate college students with stipends for summer work at a fast-growing company or their own startup. In 2020, 10KE plans to award a minimum of 25 scholarships, $2,500 apiece for individuals and $5,000 apiece for teams.
